Nomadic and De-Notified Tribes

Nomadic, Semi-Nomadic and De-notified Tribes are the most excluded communities from the mainstream ironically considered to be the earliest inhabitants of any nation and are commonly known as ghumantu (wanderer) or Banjara (vagabond). They are barred from any social protective schemes or programs due to the lack of permanent residence or any identity proof documents (Voter IDs, permanent account number card, Ration card or Aadhar card).
